About the University Archives

The University Archives of Olivet Nazarene University was established by a committee in 1967 as a depository to preserve the history of the institution and its predecessors. The Archives houses documents, books, manuscripts, photographs, audio and video tapes, memorabilia, and official papers relating to the University. Selected items associated with the parent institution, the Church of the Nazarene, and the Wesleyan Holiness movement are also collected. As appropriate, documents relating to the history of the Kankakee region are included.

The University Archives is currently located on the main floor of Benner Library on the campus of Olivet Nazarene University. Items in Archives may be consulted by serious researchers with a one week advance notice to visit. Please be advised that many of the items in Archives are restricted in use and no materials are permitted to be taken outside of Archives.
